Vivian Gerard
Vivian Gerard is a Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with a Masters degree in Nursing Science who has been practicing for the past 13 years. Previously, Vivian worked as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in both the mental health and addictions fields. She has worked in both inpatient and outpatient facilities as well, and prides herself on providing compassionate and comprehensive mental health services to adults. Vivian possesses strong clinical skills enhanced by a natural ability to build rapport with clients and their families. She follows evidence based guidelines blended with clinical experience, personal observation and intuition.
Vivian provides psychiatric evaluations and medication management with special attention to individual needs. Special interests include Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, and Trauma Informed Care. She believes it is paramount for clients receiving medication management to also access mental health therapy from a licensed therapist.
Vivian is enthusiastic in providing quality and compassionate care to each client and works as a team with each client so they will be able to improve their quality of life and attain a sense of fulfillment.
Vivian received her Masters and Bachelors in Nursing from the State University of New York at Buffalo. She also received a Bachelors in Arts with a focus in Sociology from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a Masters Degree in Social Work from West Virginia University.
